Urban and Regional Planning
Comprehensive planning programs for small communities or metropolitan and regional areas under the Federal Planning Assistance Program. Preparation of comprehensive general plans, capital improvement programs and zoning ordinances for cities or metropolitan entities.

Urban Renewal
Preparation of urban renewal application plans and documentation in accordance with state or federal programs. Assistance in developing public or private renewal programs (CRP, GNRP, and Central Area Revitalization). Development of plan implementation techniques. Continuing consultant services during implementation.

Urban Design
Comprehensive planning and design of new towns and privately sponsored land development of urban communities and their environments. Design of urban environment in connection with specific project characteristics. Formulation of design controls and vocabulary.

ENGINEERING

Structural
Evaluation of soil analysis and of building codes and ordinances. Cooperation with Design Department in development of design concept. Analysis of alternate structural systems. Preparation of structural drawings and details. Cooperation with Construction Department during construction phase.

Mechanical
Preliminary studies of available utilities and of codes and ordinances. Preparation and evaluation of alternate schemes for mechanical installation. Preparation of mechanical drawings and details. Cooperation with Construction Department during construction phase.

Electrical
Preliminary studies of available utilities and of codes and ordinances. Preparation and evaluation of alternate schemes for electrical installation. Preparation of electrical drawings and details. Cooperation with Construction Department during construction phase.

Civil
Preparation of preliminary site development studies and reports. Establishing grading and location plans. Design of road systems and utility networks and structures. Design of underground and area drainage systems. Preparation of site and off-site improvement drawings and details. Cooperation with Planning Department in land development studies. Coordination of Planning and Engineering for land development implementation.
