Dear Katherine:
My aunt, Mrs. Clarence B. Schmidt, of Springfield, Ohio, sent me a clipping from the Christian Science Monitor, which a friend had given her. It was a picture of your "Man In A Cap" painting, together with a very fine article written by Dorothy Adlow, explaining that it was being shown at the Robert Isaacson Gallery, 22 E. 66th St., through February 4.
We are very proud of you and wish to congratulate you on your outstanding work of art.
We have had heavy snows here for the past two months, but nothing to be compared with those you have had in your area. We had a 12-inch snow here in 1950 which took us two weeks to recover from, so we realize how it does paralyze traffic and business.
Business here in Xenia is better than it is in larger cities in Ohio. However, it is off a little from last year. We do not make any predictions for the future. Only time will tell.
We are all in good health and trust this will find you and your husband the same. With kindest personal regards, I am,
Yours very truly,
W.E. Schmidt
