Dear Miss Bearman:

We are distressed to learn of the damage to the mirrored cubes of Robert Morris, and hope that reimbursement for your costs can be effected without complication.

The most direct way of handling this loss would be for the receiver (either Robert Morris or you, in his behalf) to place a claim with REA Express Agency for the cost of making the cubes plus reimbursement of packing and transportation between Minneapolis and New York. Walker Art Center's expense for building the cubes amounts to $165.00,

REA 69.23 [[/margin]]

which you might as well collect from the carrier insurance company since we had already given you the boxes. Castelli Gallery bore the cost of packing, by Skellet Van & Storage Co. in Minneapolis, and of the REA shipment.

The New York REA Express representative whom you contact to make the loss report should be asked to be on hand for the unpacking of the three remaining crates.

To review the details of shipment: the four crates were forwarded by Skellet Van & Storage Co. of Minneapolis via REA Express Collect #039707 and insured with the carrier for $200.00.

Please let me know if I can help further in expediting your claim.

Sincerely yours,
Linda Royalty
