Dear Mrs. Sanford:

Millie McCauley asked me to write to you about the Snail and his adventures here. The horns have now been repaired by one of the men in our workshop, and they look as good as new.

Just as soon as a base can be made we plan to install it in the gardens at long last, where we are sure it will be seen and enjoyed by everyone. Eventually we hope to place it in a special sculpture garden for children.

Thank you again for your generosity in making this gift to the Ringling Museum.

With best wishes,

Leslie Ahlander
