Dear Mr. Carlen:
Your letter of June 11th, addressed to Mr. Kerr who is in Europe at the present time, has been referred to me.
With regard to the Pippin painting, "Abraham Lincoln and his First Books", we would not be interested in it now as we do not feel we could dispose of it to advantage at this time. However, if you still have the picture in the Fall when the season opens, it is possible that we might have a market for the painting then.

Thanking you for calling this to our attention,

Sincerely yours,
