Mr. Robert Carlen II June 1965

In my last letter to you, I suggested that you might want to write an article on Horace Pippin, but I do feel that his would not work, since the introduction should be a comparative job on all four artists. Of course, I have every intention of giving you the credit for all the fabulous work you did with Pippin and your interest in this field, - especially Hicks and Kane. I am enclosing my three lists, thinking that you may want to make comments on them at this time prior to my visit to Philadelphia.

I had a visit here from Vincent Artz, the curator of the William Penn Memorial Museum at Harrisburg. I believe they have secured Pippin's "Holy Mountain IV". I suggested that he visit you, since there will be an emphasis on Pennsylvania art in the new museum and it is logical that he see you, of all dealers.

With warmest greetings and I hope to see you soon,

Cordially yours,
