Jan 1" 1867 Respectfully returned with the information that Mr. Hancock has just been in my office, that he is well and has been since his return. That while north he was robed [[robbed]] by his partners (southern men) of crops Household furniture, in fact every thing, and he has not the heart to write his wife. He requests that this be not sent to his Recd OAC Jan 1" 1867 wife, he will write to her privately.
