Mail facilities even to the village of Pass Christian are growing so bad, that there can be no reasonable certainty that any mail matter will reach that place. - to this is reported the non-reception of School reports.-
Bounty applicants are numerous and many are impatiently awaiting the action of the Government.

District of Vicksburg. 
The sickness of the Sub Commissioner, Brevet Capt. J. K. Byers and his consequent absence have thrown the duties of the district on Lt. Fielding Neale, Sub Commissioner at Headquarters.
His report presents a careful classification and summing up of the cases presented during the month.
