The M.E. Church has been in the habit of holding Camp Meetings in this country for many years. 
A portion of the ground in the rear of the Preacher's stand has been generally assigned to the colourd people, and one of the rules regulating the order of the meeting is that there should be no mixture of the white & colourd people in the congregation. Before "the emancipation" large numbers of colourd people attended our meetings; but since that event they have gradually withdrawn from us, having formed organizations of their own. At the
