The boys have been playing cowboys-Indians this A.M. Dad is pretty good. Mama is ok. E016 Lamb Ave. Richmond, Va. Tues., Aug. 8, 1950 Dearest Charlene, I called Mama Sunday morning and she described everything to me - the hotel, the breakfast, the cabin, some other members of the party, the boat and your smile. I know by now that you are riding the billowing waves on the briny deep. I do hope that your trip will be full of rich experiences which will help you and the rest of us in many ways. Be very careful and watch your possessions, etc. Dad is home now but in bed - he dreamed about you last night. Don't worry about a thing. I'll keep in touch with mama and she with me, so don't worry. Mama told me you received the telegram OK. Glad you did. I'll be writing again in one or two days. Be good and [[sweet?]]. Know that I love you for always, all send love. Greatest love, Your daddy XXXXXXXXXXXX Kisses galore
