1. His last day on the job is Friday. Transportation Secretary Sam Bonasso said Wednesday a search will be conducted for his replacement. By law, the director has to be a pilot. Until Plutt was appointed, the state had been without a full-time aeronautics director for several years. 
Susan Chernenko, who had served as acting director during the present administration, said Plutt had applied for a job months ago at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and that opportunity came up recently.

Construction workers sue FMC over leak.

Timothy Harr was laying block at FMC Corp.'s Nitro plant in December 1995 when he saw someone rush by in a full face mask.
