In a nod to his days as a Tiger Beat magazine poster boy when he was a member of the singing Osmond Brothers, Donny would love to have Hanson, today's top teenybopper trio, on the new show. They could compare notes about being mobbed by shrieking girls.

Marie is thinking a bit more grown-up. Her guest wish-list included Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep and comedian

What they will do is  have fun together. No matter that he's 40 with five sons and a wife back in Utah, and she's 38 with six kids and a record-producer husband settled in Los Angeles: Their relationship hasn't changed. They still trade the kind of barbs that made their earlier show so popular.

"I hit her dolls around the course with my golf clubs," Donny joked about Marie's line of porcelain collector items.

"And they're all his heads," she cracked.

Having been in show business for 30-plus years, the duo is prepared to be assailed all over again for their sins of the past: drinking milk, being too vanilla, doing cornball shtick.

But this time around, they'll be poking fun at themselves.

"We are what we are. We know why we did certain things. They were important to us," Marie said. "They were important to longevity."
