strongly intertwined about the heart. All did what they could, but he thought the sun rose and set in your loving face next to his Redeemer and Guide, you were his "high tower" of earthly strength. I had to look at you in admiration, ministering to him in apparent calmness, while the dark billows of coming separation were rolling over your head; and when it was all that I, - simply a dear friend - could do to hold my peace, that my sorrow might not break forth and grieve you both! If any of my humble attempts to console you have helped to lighten your grief I am happy that it is so. I can at least "weep with them that weep." I commend you to the care of Him who hath loved us, and given Himself a ransom for us." All send love and best wishes. Write soon to your loving and sympathizing friend.
