March 8, 1948

Dearest Mama,

Here's a little note from your baby. New York was grand as usual. Joanne met me and we went to the meeting. We, of the Ivy Club, must give a program for the other sorors. I'll have to tell you all about it and you can help me choose something for my part. 

I was a little low today - reason # I went to bed at 4 a.m. because of my Eng. paper. Reason # I slightly swollen glands and reason #3 I had swollen feet, of all things. What a wreck I am! Just hope that I haven't been exposed to an measle carriers because we have 12 cases now. I went to the dispensary and had my throat painted. Outside of a little weakness from lack of sleep, I guess I am surviving.

I guess I'll be getting a package from you soon. Wish I had told you send me a pair of dark stockings. I don't have one perfect pair and I have $5 in my pocket. I hope that's enough to get me to Bridgemont etc.

Still haven't heard from Busby or Danny. I guess I'll write to B. tonight. Danny can wait awhile (until I have time). We're bound to [[?]] sometimes, I think. Got a nice letter from Joe today. Thanking me for the information I sent him.

Must dig up my "boys" for Easter. Maybe something interesting will happen. I have 2 big projects to do after Easter tho. Thank goodness everybody will be in classes during that week and I can get some work done.

I have a big test in Psych next June and a Philology test on Wed. After those
