Your Circular Letter of the 15th ult. relative to the importance of a Temperance Society being organized for the benefit, primarily, of the Freedmen, is received. I shall take great pleasure in forwarding so important a work.

Copies of your letter have been forwarded to the several officers and agents of the Bureau with instructions to use all means in their power to organize and forward the Association, and to report monthly the progress made.
