Received of Maj. Gen. O.O. Howard Court Bureau R.F. and A.L. Two (2) promissory notes given by Ges. G. Thompson and James Barbour to Cordelia Ann Hazle for four hundred and twelve and 92/100 dollars each copes of which are hereunto annexed

On or before the 1st day of January 1861. We bind ourselves to pay to Cordelia Ann Hazel her heirs or assigns the sum of Four Hundred Twelve dollars + Ninety two Cents with Interest from the 1st day of January 1860, being first deferred payment for land.
