Ref Letter 1-16-59
Dear Otto
I have considered the three points you made very seriously.
This is even a more exclusive right on me than I can recall in our talk.
This, if I recall correctly, is different than your terms with Lipchitz.
Your letter includes no consideration in your behalf to me.
I cannot meet your terms. So as soon as you desire, we can settle matters outstanding.
I do not choose to concede my independence nor my right in saying where my work is shown.
I do not rember [[remember]] in any of our talks anything as binding as the 3 points but when it is written out, it is clear, and cannot lead to further misunderstanding.
I'm sorry our terms do not meet -
With kindest regards
David [Smith]
