SAN JOSE STATE COLLEGE

SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND THE ARTS
Department of Art

April 24, 1969

Mr. John Outterbridge
85 West Harriet
Altadena, California

Dear Mr. Outerbridge:

Enclosed is a description for a teaching position in the area of painting and drawing. We are interested in further considering your qualifications for this job and ask that you send as soon as possible the following material:

1. Slides and/or photographs of recent work.

2. Letters of recommendations.

3. Completed resume of teaching experience, exhibition record, prizes, and any other revalent (i.e. community work, etc.)

4. Brief statement (maybe a paragraph) on the attitudes you would like to develop in the students with whom you work.

Some of this information we may already have. Send only that which you know we lack.

In the event that you are no longer available for consideration, I would appreciate knowing that too. The time is late and we are hard pressed to screen all candidates thoroughly before making our recommendation to the Chairman. In any event, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,
Stephen W. French
