I was awfully glad to hear from you. It was like a voice in the wilderness.
Nearly every body has left town.
It is very good of you to ask me down for a visit but I shall have to stick around Paris for some time yet. I wish Toulon was not so far away as I would be delighted to see both of you. I am sorry to hear that Leon has a tough of rheumatism I hope he recovers very quickly as he should down their in that sunny land. The Lord knows we are having very little sunshine here in Paris.
