April 6 1936

Dear Edith:

I am enclosing the copy you asked for. I have a feeling that something definite will be done about it as soon as this committee meets. Don't you think this kind of an institution should take it upon itself to do what I suggested? I don't know of any other means whereby help to older men and women can be administered with as much dignity and honor. It should be done in such a way that election to the Institute, once it is achieved, should guarantee the honor and dignity of its members for the rest of their lives.
I hope you will let me know how the other Lawson plans develop and please call upon me for a contribution in any form should it become necessary.

As ever,
