Subject: Travel Orders No.1368

To: Mr. Reginald Marsh, Artist
U. S. Engineer Office
New York, N.Y.

1. Under authority of the Secretary of War dated 19 May 1943 and 4 August 1943; of the Chief of Engineers dated 20 May 1943, 1 June 1943 and 13 August 1943; and of the Port Transportation Officer, New Orleans, La. Port of Embarkation, dated 11 August 1943, you are directed to  proceed from New York, N.Y. to Recife, Brazil, via New Orleans, Louisiana, for duty in connection with permanent change of station.

2. You will be allowed transportation at Government expense as follows:

a. Transportation via rail from New York, N.Y. to New Orleans, La.

b. Transportation via most available means of transportation from New Orleans, La. to Recife, Brazil.

3. Per diem in lieu of subsistence, in accordance with existing law and travel regulations, will be allowed as follows:

a. A per diem of $6.00 while in travel status within the continental limits of the United States and while waiting at port for transportation.

b. A per diem of $7.00 while in travel beyond the continental limits of the United States.

4. Shipment of personal effects is authorized within the prescribed weight limits, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3(a) of the Act approved 5 June 1942 (Public No. 580, 77th Congress).

5. You are authorized to carry a camera and equipment and to make whatever official pictures which may be necessary.
