Dear Mr Whiting:

Thanks [[strikethrough]] you [[/strikethrough]] for your letter of 21st Oct. Since [[strikethrough]] there seems to be a desire on the [[/strikethrough]] no subsequent [[strikethrough]] letter has had [[/strikethrough]] word disclosing the identity of your collaboraters has come, it is hard to know what to think of their desire for secrecy.

[[strikethrough]] There is one line [[/strikethrough]] The paragraph in said page 594 starting with "Visitors to the great - " contains an insinuation very unfair to my [[strikethrough]] independence of direction [[/strikethrough]] rights at this jury meeting - It wants to suggest that I coincided with Bruce & Kroll.

For your information I voted "no" to all of Messrs. MaCleary, Harding & Mahoney.

Between Mr Bruce & myself there has been an exchange of letters even and of which [[strikethrough]] you are or anyone is free [[/strikethrough]] I welcome you or anyone to read or to publish.

Sincerely yours

Dear Ned:

Silence from you and a letter from Mr Whiting indicate that you collaborated on or sanctioned [[strikethrough]] on [[/strikethrough]] page 594 - mentioned in my last letter to you.

If this is so, what is your excuse for this in face of your [[strikethrough]] rebuke [[/strikethrough]] letter to me in your letter to me Oct 5? -

I have written to Mr Whiting explaining in part my objection to p. 594 and welcoming him [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] or anyone to read or to publish our correspondence - Do you object?

Sincerely yours
