This is Adolph Gottlieb's eleventh one-man show. He has also exhibited paintings abroad, at the Tate Gallery in London, and the Galeries Maeght and Bonaparte in Paris, and has been included in most major exhibitions throughout America. Among the museums which own his work are: Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum, Guggenheim Foundation, Society of the Four Arts, University of Nebraska, Addison Gallery of American Art, Tel Aviv Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, Butler Art Institute. His style of painting, which he terms "Pictograph", is highly personal and has become identified as a valid contribution to modern art. At 46 he is recognized as one of America's consistently avant-garde artists.
