Our assignment was to read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. I read Bird by Bird several years ago and it was on my book shelf near On Elements of Style Writing [[strikethrough]] well by____,[[/strikethrough]], writing Down the Bones by Natilie Goldberg and ________ [[strikethrough]] I have read many books on writing. This [[/strikethrough]] Books om writing is what I have read for the past several years including novels, the classics, best sellers, friends recomendation & Oprahy's. Books on art, and [[strikethrough]] collected [[/strikethrough]] diaries from swap meets and antique stores.

*2 While looking for Bird by Bird another book on my shelf CAME into my hands. I did not reach for [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] this book. [[strikethrough]] I handled the Book [[/strikethrough]] The title of the book Ways of Seeing by John Berger. 

#1* The choice of that book coming into my hands was not mine. It was as if I picked up my old address book to mail out Christmas cards. Looking at old names and addresses; this person I no longer see this one moved and this friend, relative [[strikethrough]] is [[/strikethrough]] dead.

Ways of Seeing is a book I read as a art student in 1979. The corners of the pages turned down [[strikethrough]] under [[/strikethrough]] corners turned down, sentences underlined and paragrafs highlighted in magenta and [[strikethrough]] prorest [[/strikethrough]] Phforesent (SP) green. A used book. [[strikethrough]] Old ideas coming back [[/strikethrough]] Old ideas filed MARKED on the pages coming back ready to be reviewed. Like tracks thru (the snow). A history of [[strikethrough]] former previous [[/strikethrough]] cleaver thoughts from Mr Berger to examine & bring into my oun ART work.
