EUCHARISTIC AND VESPER CANDLES ARE GIVEN TO THE GLORY OF ALMIGHTY GOD in loving memory of the deceased members of the Altar Guild. The gift of the Altar Guild.
The lovely FLOWERS which decorate the church are given to the Glory of Almighty God in loving memory of my husband, and our father, Henry R. Jackson, Sr., on the occasion of his birthday. The gift of his wife, Russe Jackson & Family.
Our Celebrant and Preacher today is the Rev. Walter Procter Hall Parker, who is no stranger to us. Thank you Father Parker for ministering to us once again.
Today Father Washington is preaching the 25th anniversary sermon at St. James Langhorn for the Rev. Lloyd Winter who was Father Washington's 3rd curate at the Church of the Advocate.
The cost of living has gone up - National budget, state, city, food - What's new? So has the budget of St. Simons.
In 1991 we needed $2,800.00 per week. In 1992, $3,320.00.
With 290 sets of envelopes in your hands, St. Simons needs $450.00 more per week or $11.50 per week from each of us.
Some cannot give $11.50 per week. Some can give 25, 50, $100 per week.
We must there - Give more in 1992 than we gave in 1991. Those to whom much is given, from you much is required.
In 1992 we need $3,250.00 per week.
Last Sunday we gave $2,945.22.
THE BOTTOM LINE TELLS US IF the Search Committee can search for St. Simon's 5th Rector to continue our mission in the next century.
As one who leads, as one who sets an example, I will practice what I preach. As your interim spiritual leader I shall raise my giving from $220.00 per month to $250.00 per month.
New Day By Days are now available for the cost of 35ยข.

Seek... and you shall find;
Ask... and it shall be given you;
Knock... and it will be opened to you.
