Also, have you heard from the Chase Manhattan Bank (Rockefeller) They are planning a benefit exhibition for Jan, to finance the Studio Museum of Harlem. They will show 60 Artists, (black, I presume) and that which is not purchased, will be bought by them. There has been some rumblings already, from Tom Lloyd, and Benny has talked with the BECC, but not to dissuade us, just to see that we can all benefit ourselves, we have submitted names of everybody. Also, the Whitney has been around (Doty the curator) or asked to have slides submitted, he has accepted a painting from Chuck Bowers, and they took two from Benny, he is interested in a series I'm working on now, but that's for the Black Show - Chuck and Ben are being considered for the Whitney annual. Also they've approached Alvin Loving, for a one man show.
