Permit us to state to you, that the Man who is employed at this place to teach the Freedmen, is a Rebel, of some ability, and is exerting that ability, to the predjudice of the party who gave the Colord men their, freedom. His name is Hamilton he says that he was in the Rebel army and that he will assist any party to drive out the country any Yankee who done come here to teach the Negro either letters or politics. He has some 4 Col or Maj of the Rebel army to make speeches for the freedmen at least once a month. He advises the  Colord people that the southern people are their best and only friends - And unless something is done to check this course of political gambling with the freedmen our party (Republicans, will not be able to contrat 1/2 the Colord votes in this state, This man Hamilton is [[strikethrough]] is [[/strikethrough]] indignant at every loyal man in
