Officers and Members:
Dear Sirs and Comrades:-
At last we are able to release the incompleted figures of our latest canvass and statistical tables with the results of the questionnaire sent you some time ago. We have not computed the totals due to the lapse of time existing between the present date and that of the information given in the reply you sent us.

Therefore, we are asking you to compare the figures contained on the enclosed paper and if there are some changes, please place the corrected number on the card furnished for such data, which is stapled to this letter. We also want the last figures available on the Colored population of your city. The Chamber of Commerce would be glad to give this to you. This too is to be added to the card.

In this line of endeavor, plenty of progress has been made, many promotions have been earned, new faces added to our rolls, while on the other side of the page, some have retired from service and are now on pension, awarded for meritorious service over a period of time. May we also bow our heads in reverence for those of our brothers who have answered the last alarm since our last communication.

Our mutual interests are focused on the above item, therefore we urge you to include some information regarding any of the above categories. We are all anxious to know what is going on in all corners of our nation that is of interest to those of our profession.

Your immediate response to this letter is a gauge to your appreciation and interest for the work this committee has done, so let your whole hearted support be extended towards an early reply. We assure you, of an early corrected edition of statistical data as soon as all replies are sent in. Hoping this finds you and your company enjoying the best of health and happiness.
                     Sincerely yours,
