our midst the principle of which is a ready & efficient method of adjusting differences but perhaps the most desirable service the Bureau or its Agents can do us is to establish schools for our children & Youth and the bestowment of benefits on our aged & infirm.

We desire the return of Lieut Allison for the reason that he has by his patient hearing [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] & wise and just decision of causes affecting our rights endeared himself to our race & challenged the confidence & esteem of our white neighbors. We also wish him continued that he may perfect some plan for the education of our Children no schools being yet established in our County
