Endorsement on accounts refered September 6th, 1867 by A.P. Ketchum, AA Adgnt. Genl. Bureau RF and AL for examination and remarks, and directing attention to decision of the Secretary of War upon account of Capt. White by which it appears, that bills of this nature must be paid from the appropriation for the Bureau, Endorsed August 31st, 1867 by the Surgeon General to the effect that the accounts of Capt. W.F. White Sub. Asst. Comr Bureau RF&AL for medical attendance by a private physician, and returned by orders of the Secretary of War, that the said account paid out of the appropriation for said Bureau, and refers accounts of D.W. Hicks for Med. attendance upon private A. Burns 8th Infty of Dr E.E. Stonestreet for Med attendance upon the family of Lt. R.G. Rutherford 45th Infnty, and of Dr. Jno. W McDonald for Med attendance on the family of 2nd Lt. A.W. Fuller, V.R.C. and considers that they are covered by the orders of the Secretary of War in the case of Capt. W.F. White.
