Institution", Mr. Wales said that he was informed so by his ass't and upon questioning Dr. Mindenhall the Asst Sup't. he declared that he never made any such statement, but that he had heard Lieut. White remark that he would break up the practice of supporting in the Asylum the children of parents able to maintain them themselves. I could find no sufficient evidence to support the charge of intemperance, made against Lt. White by Mr. Wales.
I am satisfied from testimony received from numerous persons that Lt. White has not been as accommodating as he could have been to those connected with him, and this together with the causes already stated, appears to be the principal source of complaint.
Upon questioning Dr. Brenniman in relation to his complaints against Lieut. White. he stated that he had no charges to make, except that Lt. White had rendered himself extremely disagreeable.
