Gillem.

Represents now that owing to to the interruption in his business, and his long imprisonment, altho' urgent & frequent requests for a speedy trial were made, - that he has been obliged to appropriate a part of the money to support his family - If allowed to go unmolested on his return to Mississippi is sure that he can make an amicable and speedy settlement and therefor requests the protection of the Commissioner to be released from his personal bond, and from being again incarcerated. which will be the case if he returns without the funds & which at present he is entirely unable to present. &c &c.
