States that he was a prisoner 13 months during the war & part of the time Maj Jas M Barnes of Anderson Texas Commanded the prison camp.
Says no man in like circumstances could have behaved better than Maj Barnes & thinks his fellow prisoners will say he behaved like a true Christian soldier & gentleman, & he commends him to the Comr accordingly
