GOERING'S BATON - The ivo[[missing]]aton of one time Reichsmarshal Herman Goering; de[[missing]]d with 20 gold eagles, 20 platinum crosses, and on [[missing]] gold knobs at the ends, with 640 matched diamonds; valued intrinsically at about $35,000. The baton was presented to Lieut. General Alexander M. Patch, following Goering's surrender to the U.S. Seventh Army in May of 1945 by Mrs. Alexander M. Patch.
