Dearest Philip,
This card depicts one of the world's fine dining rooms - despite the enforced whimsical Nineteenth Century decor. Sonja and I have recently shared a magnificent tomatoed roast of beef within it. A staff of waiters in white tie and black cutaway coats served scrupulously. At last, I fired an electrician (on last Tuesday). He balked at work too often and was tardy. His replacements were much more capable and willing. Despite retarding troubles, the opening occurs tonight. The entire yellow lighted exposition may be sold to Sperone and Ileana Sonnabend. I guess that it is appealing. La Grande Sonnabend and wee Gian Enzo have been telephoning each other daily.
John Weber has cabled that I may well have a large exposition in the National Gallery of Canada during Spring, 1969. Also, it would seem that my writing will become thoroughly documented. That may surprise and/or appal you. I trust for the better reaction. Best Regards to you, Charles and the ladies from Sonja and me, Flav.
