Dear Sam,

Thank you for the invitation to expose an installation in your museum during the next fall. There was no opportunity to speak about it in the roving crown at Don's opening last Saturday.

Sam, I simply cannot spend money on a lot of equipment which can only be partially salvaged after your exhibition. I have discussed this matter with Jill and she concurs.

If you could spend about eighty-five or ninety dollars (with a professional discount from a staff electrician), I could raise up an impressive pattern of intense light. Let me know if this is feasible.

The installation, which I am supposed to accomplish in Eindhaven, the Netherlands this fall is alleged to have industrial sponsorships. You might consider that aspect again.

Best wishes.
Sincerely
Dan Flavin
