Dear Mr. Horowitz:

I am happy tohave made your acquaintance during the exhibition of Mr. White's work at Howard University and hope that this is the beginning of a long friendship which we cherish most of all because it centers around one of the great figures in American art, our mutual friend Charles White.

Thank you for your letter of October 3 which includes a listing of the works that are to be shown here at Fisk University. As of now we have not received any of the catalogues that will be coming to us. I suppose they will be forthcoming soon. In the meantime, we are working up the publicity with the photographs which you sent earlier. Your letter indicates the enclosure of a photo offset but this was not with the letter upon its arrival. I assume that it will follow at a later time.

My sincere regards to Mr. White and best wishes to both of you.

Sincerely yours,
David C. Driskell
