ASLEEP

Long ago a little sister,
Bowed beside my knee in prayer,
And she seemed an angel kneeling
As I touched her golden hair.

[[strikethrough]] Silently there [[/strikethrough]] But there came [[strikethrough]] a seraph [[/strikethrough]] another angel
From beyond the dusky deep-
And as [[strikethrough]] lily bends [[/strikethrough]] bends a flower at evening, braids a flower
[[strikethrough]] So [[/strikethrough]] Then my sister fell asleep.
