Tuesday

Dear Mother & Dad:
It's simply perfect weather - almost too warm for comfort and much too nice for work - very sunny and springy.

We had dinner with the deMars last week - it was Vernon's birthday. He is going to work in the office, I think, as a draftsman (I don't know how to spell it). Also, Ed Sweting + Bill Edy are starting. We went to see "La Boheme" last Thursday, with Tom Shive, a man from the office. Ate at the trecadero and practically slept thru the opera which wasn't too good anyway. Had Johnathan Fletcher up to supper.  Went to the Hammar & Coffin initiation Friday with Bob Pickering. It was really a lot of fun - after the initiation we all went dinner dancing at the
