Dear EmmyLou and Byron:
Bud and I are getting ready to leave for New York tomorrow, where we'll be for about 3 weeks, on business and with a few concerts. We'll stop at Detroit for a week or so, then home.
I'm sending you a few copies of the new songbook. I couldn't supervise the final handling of it (It was printed in NY) so in juggling it around they left out Byron's drawing, to my regret. That kind of thing happens all the time ( I had no control over the album title or picture) but it's still not worth moving to New York for! Anyway, by way of thanks for the picture, and by way of thanks anyway, you'll have some copies of "The Muse of Parker Street" to use as you like.
I've written a few songs that I like, and we've been busy with the Mobilization, KPFA and other things, so I guess it's all right. I think I'll be glad to get back here, there's so much going on all the time. Hope to see you then, too.

Love.
Malvina
