1.) Perhaps young sculptors should try to use materials directly - such as wood, metal, ceramics, etc so that they can eliminate the labor and expense of plastercasting and the bronze casting. This will increase their profits and lower their price, and therefore increase the demand for their work.

2. Perhaps the industrial designers who have sprung up during the last 10 years have stolen part of the sculptors field.
