Dear Keith:

During a recent visit to the Gallery, Paul told me that you had seen "Good News" since I added the pictorial detail in the background between the two seated figures facing each other, and that you were very pleased with the change as well as with the added emphasis on other parts of the picture. Paul regards "Good News" as my "masterpiece", and am happy to think that it is one of the items in the magnificent and rare collection of Modern Art which you are so kind and public spirited to lend to the Los Angeles Museum of Art.

It is even more difficult for me to express adequately my appreciation of your warm friendship and encouragement which meant so much in my effort to reach higher levels in my recent work. I also consider it a great privilege to have
