Frances and Joy dropped in the gallery about a week ago. They had a wonderful visit with Paul and his entire family. Paul looks tired and really should take advantage of your kind offer to have him stay with you in Florida at least for a week. It would do him so much good. But, try and persuade him to do so? I think the atmosphere in New York Art world has changed radically in many respects. [[Fusion?]] and confusion is in the air. Competition is far more intense, and the dealers can not hide their zealousness or anxiety.

Paul asked me to exhibit - giving me March 3- to April or the ensuing four weeks - but I begged him to "let me out" for another six months or so. I sent out about a dozen recent pictures. One was sold immediately to a fine collector in Chicago- Another large canvas was selected by Dr. Valentiner [[strikethrough]] to be [[/strikethrough]] and was sent to Los Angeles subject to purchase by the museum Another canvas (large) sent to Worcester Mass. Museum of Art also for acquisition.
