certainly not my man. Wallace seemed to represent something I as well as other decent and hard working liberals believe in. So there you are. In conversation we would enlarge and dissect matters philosophies. principles... but in writing one must be so brief. Altogether we are living in a very crippled world. Maybe it's a sort of physical and spiritual arthritis — if so — then I know the meaning of the aches and pains, and how excruciating it all is.
Now a little gossip, but it's all in the open. Miss Florence Walter is no more with the Paul Rosenberg & Co. Paul and his son are in full charge. Business is rotten, and no one knows when it will change for the better. But we must not be discouraged.
I note what a master mechanic you have become. I'm sure your painting is expert. By the way — the threshold in the charming guest house is decayed on the right side and I'm sure you noticed it. I think an entirely new threshold would be advisable. Please don't mind my suggestion. I mean well. 
I'm so glad you are doing all these nice and necessary things around and on
