Please have my mail sent to me at New Orleans, and write me there, stating what, if any thing, particular is to be looked after.  Also, give me the latest news of interest in the Bureau. 

I was quite sick at Columbia, but am now better, tho far from being well, my complaint of last summer has returned, but I hope to be able to continue my work.

I have written this informally, but let such parts of it, as you think best, go to the Genl as a report.
