Schools
"The schools both day and night have, during the past month, been well attended, and the interest of the freedmen in them is steadily on the increase. I know of nothing I can suggest to increase their efficiency. The teachers work most zealously and assiduously, both by day and night, and all deserve the highest commendation for their unflinching efforts."
