The persecutors punished.

Genl Hancock authorizes me to say to you that the case is of so flagrant a nature that he intended arresting the whole posse and bring them to New Orleans for trial by military commission and he also says that unless you have countermanded the orders his staff officer Maj Wilson issued; they, McClain, Judge Dix H have violated his orders by putting manacles on Mr Harvety since Maj Wilson came away.
