VII. The Commanding Officer, Post of Nacogdoches, Texas, will send one reliable non-commissioned officer and eight men, armed and equipped, to San Augustine, San Augustine County, Texas, to report to Lieutenant A. A. METZNER, Sub-Assistant Commissioner, Bureau Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, at that place, who will give them the necessary instructions, and be considered their Commanding Officer for the time being. 
This Detachment will be supplied with thirty days rations, the required camp and garrison equipage, for which a memorandum receipt will be given by the Bureau Agent, and thirty rounds of ammunition to each man will be issued. 
The Quartermaster's Department will furnish the necessary transportation.
