Rev. C.L. Hengemburg of Dunkirk N.Y. is a gentleman of very accomplished education, an eloquent preacher in the Presbyterian Church of a high order of talents, & a man of restless actively great energy & kind heart. His nervous system became injured & he cannot perform pastorial duties. He is just & discouraged.

He will make an efficient & honest worker in your Dept. having had some experience in Tennessee during the war.
