the N.Y. Association alone. Upon the justness of such proceedings I forbear to make any comments.

I have written the Com. several times begging them to mention their reasons for the course they have pursued - and bring forward their charges - but of no avail. They have a most happy faculty of shirking the whole thing.

It is evident they have no charges to bring against me - tho' so persistent in their refusal - Consequently you will pardon me for saying it would be entirely useless to hold any further correspondence with Miss Collins as you recommended. My interest in the welfare having been connected with it from the first of the school is such that I am willing to make some sacrifices - as I am already doing. But my means will not permit me to remain many months longer without some compensation.

If you could find it in your power to give me some assistance from your
"Bureau", it would be gratefully received and I trust you will never have occasion to regret the appropriation. Hoping you will grant an early and favorable reply.

I remain
Yours very respectfully
